Jocelyn Riden
PMHNP-BC, MSN Edu. Clinical Director
Jocelyn Riden is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 10 years of experience in the medical field. She began her career as a critical care registered nurse, spending seven years in the ICU caring for high-acuity and neuro-trauma patients.
Through her work in critical care, Jocelyn developed a strong interest in the psychiatric and neuropsychiatric factors that influence patient outcomes, particularly in individuals with complex medical and behavioral presentations. This clinical exposure led her to pursue advanced training in psychiatric care. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Duquesne University and also holds a second master’s degree in Nursing Education.
Grounded in her training in nursing education, Jocelyn has contributed to nursing and psychiatric education through clinical instruction, preceptorship, and participation in structured training programs affiliated with the University of Central Florida, Daytona State College, and Stewart Marchman Act Behavioral Healthcare.
Jocelyn currently serves as Director of Nursing at Orlando Premier Psychiatry and was instrumental in developing the detoxification program at DeLand Treatment Solutions. She has practiced across multiple levels of psychiatric care, including outpatient psychiatry, detoxification services, and interventional psychiatry settings. She previously served as a co-owner and infusion specialist at a ketamine infusion center in Volusia County, providing care for individuals with treatment-resistant psychiatric conditions within a medically supervised model.
In her outpatient practice, Jocelyn provides individualized, evidence-based psychiatric care. She specializes in the treatment of mood disorders and ADHD, with particular experience treating patients with co-occurring substance use disorders. Her approach integrates thorough diagnostic assessment, judicious medication management, and adjunctive or alternative treatment modalities when clinically appropriate, with an emphasis on safety, collaboration, and long-term functional outcomes.
Jocelyn founded Orlando Premier Psychiatry after observing persistent gaps in mental health care, including fragmented treatment, limited access, and systems that often prioritize volume over clinical quality. She created a practice model that emphasizes thorough diagnostic evaluation, appropriate follow-up, and continuity of care, particularly for patients with complex psychiatric and substance use conditions. Her work is guided by a commitment to evidence-based practice, ethical decision-making, and individualized treatment focused on long-term functional outcomes.
